When my husband and I bought Greenview Nurseries last spring we had no idea where it would take us.

As tree farmers and landscapers we planned to use the property for our existing businesses, but taking on some existing greenhouse growing contracts was a small sidestep. What a rush! We filled three greenhouses with annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, planters, herbs, vegetables and more.

Some of the plants we grew in 2016…

If you came out here last year, you may remember that we had rented out the existing garden centre space to Fairy Tale Garden Centre. That business has gone in a different direction this year, with an etsy store, and so, as they say, “We’re going in!”

Now to create a garden centre worth leaving the city for!

It’s been a busy winter, renovating the outdoor display areas, and the garden centre store. We really feel we’ve got something special out here and we want to make sure our customers get to enjoy that … amid the peace and quiet of the farm, nestled in old growth trees, we’ve got farm cats, deer and the friendliest greeter you’ll find at any store…

Scarlett is always around to make everyone feel welcome.

Stay tuned as we post updates on the renovations and preparations!
